Keep Your Strapping Tools Working the Way They Should
Battery PET tools and steel combo tools take a beating in tougher Australian conditions. Dust, tension fatigue, inconsistent products used and worn components all build up over time. Most issues don’t show up immediately. They show up as:
- Inconsistent seals
- Strap breakage under load
- Slower packing times
- Higher strap waste
- Increased risk during transport
That’s where a proper servicing program comes in.
Introducing X-Pak’s PET Tool Servicing Program
A practical, preventative maintenance approach designed for operations running steel or PET strapping systems daily.

Any Questions? We’ve Got You Covered.
Here’s everything you need to know about how our service program works.
How do I know if my PET strapping tool needs servicing?
Most tools continue to operate even when performance has started to decline, so the signs tend to show up as inconsistent seals, strap breakage, or slower operation rather than complete failure. If your team is noticing changes in tension, sealing quality, or increased strap usage, it is usually a good time to have the tool checked.
How often should tools be serviced?
We generally recommend servicing every 12 months for standard use, with higher volume operations often benefiting from servicing every 6 months to keep performance consistent and avoid unexpected issues.
What’s included in the $400 service?
The service includes a full inspection, internal clean, calibration to correct tension and sealing performance, and functional testing, along with pickup and return delivery so your team does not need to manage transport.
What if parts need replacing?
If any components are worn or need replacing, we will provide a clear recommendation and cost breakdown before proceeding, and no additional work is carried out without your approval.
Can you service tools we didn’t buy from X-Pak?
Yes, we regularly service tools that were not purchased through us, as long as they are compatible with PET or steel strapping systems.
Will servicing affect my tool warranty?
No, the servicing process is designed to maintain the condition of your equipment and does not impact your existing warranty.
How long does the service take?
Most standard services are completed within a few business days, and if parts are required, we will confirm timing with you before proceeding so you can plan around your operation.
Do you offer a loan tool while mine is being serviced?
In many cases we can provide access to a loan tool, which helps maintain continuity in your operation while your equipment is being serviced.
Is this just for battery PET tools?
No, the program covers both battery PET strapping tools and steel strapping combination tools, and we can confirm suitability if you are unsure about your equipment.
